Day 1 - PAESTUM
Meeting with the guide and visit of the Archaeological Park of Paestum. Considered the best preserved city of Magna Graecia, Paestum offers students a unique opportunity to explore the architecture, art and rituals of ancient Greece. You will walk among the Doric temples, such as the Temple of Neptune and the Basilica, dating back to the 6th and 5th centuries BC, discovering how the ancient Greeks lived and worshipped. Lunch in a typical restaurant, where the kids can enjoy local flavors. Continue with a visit to the Archaeological Museum, which houses priceless finds, such as the famous fresco of the Tomb of the Plunger, a rare testimony of Greek painting. Overnight at the hotel.
Day 2 - AGROPOLI AND THE PADULA CHARTERHOUSE
Breakfast in hotel and departure to Agropoli. Visit the historic village of Akropolis, of Byzantine origin, where students will discover the Byzantine influences on local architecture and culture. Lunch during the excursion. Continuation to Padula and visit of the wonderful Certosa di San Lorenzo, founded in 1306 by Tommaso Sanseverino. This monastery is one of the largest in the world and offers a wide range of artistic and architectural treasures. The children will explore the monumental structure, understanding the importance of monasteries in medieval and renaissance life. Return to hotel, dinner and overnight.
Day 3 - PALINURO, CAMEROTA AND CASTELCIVITA CAVES
Breakfast in the hotel and departure for the guided tour of the Cilento coast. Students will visit the beautiful villages of Camerota and Palinuro, discovering the local history and traditions. Lunch and continuation at the gates of the Cilento National Park. Here, they will explore the caves of Castelcivita, one of the most extensive speleological complexes in southern Italy, with a length of about 4800 meters. This visit will offer a unique opportunity to learn about the geology and ecosystem of caves, as well as live a fascinating adventure in the heart of nature. Return to hotel, dinner and overnight.
Day 4 - SALERNO
Breakfast at the hotel and preparation of the luggage for departure. Continue to Salerno with a visit to the Castle of Arechi, which offers an overview of the medieval history of the city and a breathtaking view over the Gulf of Salerno. Visit the historic center and the Cathedral, a masterpiece of Norman architecture. Lunch in a local restaurant, where students can enjoy typical dishes. Departure for the return and end of services.
