Inside, we will admire the beautiful frescoes and decorations that tell the story of the city and the faith. We continue towards San Gregorio Armeno, the famous Nativity scene. Although it is famous for its craft shops that display nativity figurines all year round, this street also offers a valuable testimony to the Neapolitan baroque. The guide will tell us about the tradition of nativity and its origins, linking the stories of the cribs to the Baroque themes of religiosity and theatricality. Our next stop is the Church of Santa Maria delle Anime del Purgatorio in Arco, known as the "death cape" church for the skulls that adorn its facade and interior. Here, the guide will explain the cult of the souls of Purgatory, a theme deeply rooted in Neapolitan Baroque spirituality. Continuing the walk, we will meet some of the most representative noble palaces of the Neapolitan baroque. With their inner courtyards and lavish facades, these buildings tell of a splendid and contradictory period, rich in legends and fascinating stories. The guide will tell us about the munaciello, the beautiful m'briana and the isiac mysteries, mythical figures that are still part of the popular imagination of Naples. The tour culminates with a visit to the Sansevero Chapel, a place that combines art, science and mystery. Here, we will admire the famous Velato Christ, one of the most extraordinary sculptures in the world, and discover the stories of the eclectic Prince Raimondo di Sangro.  The guide will reveal the secrets of alchemy and legends related to this enigmatic character, making the visit an unforgettable experience for all students.
