Guided tour through the excavations of Herculaneum that, like the other Vesuvian cities was buried by the eruption of Vesuvius in 79 A.D. and brought to light by chance thanks to excavations for the construction of a well in 1709. The method of burial of Herculaneum was different from that of Pompeii and therefore its state of conservation is also different. The excellent condition of the houses, the woods and the bronze parts, allows us to reconstruct the daily life and the way of living of the ancient Romans who two thousand years ago lived in the shadow of Vesuvius.
