This guided tour will take us to explore the Greek-Naples-Roman, with an expert guide who will explain in a clear and engaging way the ancient remains and historical influences that we can see today.

We start our journey at Piazza Bellini, where you can admire the ancient Greek walls, The guide will tell us about the history of these walls and their importance in protecting the city. We will visit the Roman Museum. From here, we cross the decumanus maximus, now known as via Tribunali. This street was one of the main arteries of the Roman city and along the way we will see Roman-era finds integrated into modern buildings. We will also admire the picturesque bell tower of Pietrasanta, while our guide will explain the influence of Roman architecture on the city. Continuing, we reach Piazza San Gaetano, the ancient forum of the Roman city. Here we will explore the historical stratification under the complex of San Lorenzo Maggiore, where the remains of the Roman macellum are located. The visit to the archaeological site (optional) offers us a deep look at everyday life in ancient Naples. We walk along the lower decumanus, known as Spaccanapoli, which cuts in two the ancient city. This road leads us along the ancient cardo, today via San Gregorio Armeno, famous for the workshops of cribs. Here, the guide will show us the statue of the Nile, testimony of the contacts between Naples and the Egyptian culture. Our tour will end at Piazza del Gesù, after having lived an immersive experience in the ancient history of Naples. This guided tour will offer students a unique opportunity to understand and appreciate the historical roots of the city in an educational and engaging way.
